One of the most common questions we hear is: "When or why should I take my child to a chiropractor?" During their early years, kids are rapidly growing and developing both physically and neurologically (the brain and nervous system) as well as experiencing the various stressors that accompany childhood. While they often don't experience back pain like adults do, we believe that healthy children will grow to become healthy adults.
Chiropractic adjustments help maintain and restore proper nervous system and body function so kids can adapt to their ever changing worlds. Tumbles from while playing, emotional stress, birth traumas, and heavy chemicals all can hinder proper development for kids. Another common concern people have is that adjustments for kids will be aggressive. The pressure we use for our pediatric patients is no more than what you would use to check the ripeness of a tomato! As your children grow, adjustments are altered accordingly to remain gentle, safe, and effective.
